Outback Player of the Week
Week 1 - Aaron Childress is the Springdale Sonics Outback Player of the Week. Aaron played aggressive defense, got several rebounds, made a free throw, and scored several of the team's 11 points. Great job Aaron!!
Week 2 - Danica Kennedy was selected as the Outback Player of the Week for the Springdale Basketball Association. Kennedy is on Matt Nelson’s second grade team. She scored 10 or her teams 18 points. She had numerous steals, jump balls, and rebounds. Congratulations Danica!! Week 3 - Tiffany Kelton has been selected as Outback Player of the Week!! She scored 6 of her teams 10 ponts, and led the team to a come from behind victory in the last 5 minutes of the game. Congratulations Tiffany!! Week 4 - Thalyanna Sysavanh of Matt Nelson's fourth grade team has been selected as the Outback Player of the Week!! Thalyanna had 12pts, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and numerous steals n her 4th grade teams' 30-6 victory. Congrats to Thalyanna!! Week 5 - Josh Beyer has been selected as Outback Player of the Week. Josh scored 12 points including a game-winning 3-pointer with 6 seconds left. He also played solid defense and had several rebounds. We defeated Ket Manary's team 20-18 after trailing 16-11. Congratulations Josh!! Week 6 - Kylee Dover has been selected as Outback Player of the Week!! Kylee scored 8 of her teams 18 points in an 18-0 victory. Kylee played aggressive defense, including rebounding, which assisting in holding the other team to 0 score. She was also very aggressive on offense.

Week 7 - Will Mueller from Mueller's 5th grade team has won the honor of player of the week!! Will had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 blocked three in his team's 28-17 win. Will scored 10 of his 14 points in the 2nd half. Congrats Will!! Week 8 - Mary Haskins has been selected as Outback Player of the Week. Mary had 4 blocks, and over 8 rebounds. She scored 4/8 points. The game was tied 6-6 with 3.6 seconds left-Mary recovered the ball and made the winning basket at 0.6 seconds for a win of 8-6.
